U.S. Navy Blue Angels Jet Demonstration Team

The Blues Are Back Baby!

Cleveland will host the iconic U.S. Navy Blue Angels as headliners of the 2024 Cleveland National Air Show presented by Discount Drug Mart.

Each show day the six "Blues" demonstration pilots will blaze across the skies in their F/A-18 Super Hornets flying as close as 18 inches apart. The Blue Angels flight demonstration includes the graceful aerobatic maneuvers of the four-plane Diamond Formation, in concert with the fast-paced, high-performance maneuvers of its two Solo Pilots. And the team will illustrate the pinnacle of precision flying, performing maneuvers locked as a unit in the renowned, six-jet Delta Formation.

The 2024 team includes LCDR Amanda Lee who has made history as the first woman to serve as a jet demonstration pilot in the elite Blue Angels. Amanda has accumulated more than 1,800 flight hours and over 225 carrier-arrested landings. She will be making her first appearance in Cleveland flying the #4 jet.

Don’t forget…this spine tingling performance begins on the ground in front of Air Show spectators with a highly choreographed “walk down” preflight routine as the Blue Angel pilots climb into their F/A-18 Super Hornets, start them up and taxi out for take-off.  And stick around after the show for the Blue Angels autograph session.
