The Warthog is Back!
The A-10 Thunderbolt II Demo is back in Cleveland with its commanding display of maneuverability. The demonstration profile includes combat maneuvers of constant changes in airspeed, altitude, heading, and bank angle. U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight 
Commemorative Fly-By Added
Each event day, the past will meet the present when the A-10 Thunderbolt performs a commemorative Heritage Flight with a P-51 Mustang "Excalibur".
The USAF Heritage Flight program was established in 1997 to commemorate the Air Force's 50th anniversary. It involves today's state-of-the-art fighters flying in close formation with World War II, Korean and Vietnam era fighters. The flight's mission is to safely and proudly display the evolution of U.S. Air Force airpower and to support the Air Force's recruiting and retention efforts. U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier Demonstration
Expands Act Line-up
Get ready Air Show fans...an AV-8B "Harrier" demonstration has been scheduled by the U.S. Marine Corps. The "Harrier" will perform each event day and the demonstration consists of an 8-10 minute display of the aircraft's abilities, including a 90-degree climbing turn, a high-speed pass over the runway, and a vertical landing in front of the crowd. A second "Harrier" will be on static display. The Cleveland National Air Show is one of only 14 show sites to receive the coveted 2009 "Harrier" demo.
B-17 Flying Fortress "Memphis Belle"
Air Show fans will experience history and a little bit of Hollywood when the B-17 "Memphis Belle" takes to the skies. The name "Memphis Belle" has become almost synonymous with the B-17. The "Memphis Belle" is known the world over for being the very first Eighth Air Force bomber to complete 25 combat missions over enemy territory and then return to the United States . The B-17 appearing in Cleveland is painted in the colors of the real "Memphis Belle" and was the star of the 1989 Warner Brothers film appropriately titled Memphis Belle. (Photo by: Seth Goltzer)

John Klatt Airshows
As a child growing up, Major John Klatt dreamed of learning to fly. And thanks to the Air National Guard, he's now living the dream as one of the top aerobatic pilots in the country, for the ANG's "Guarding America, Defending Freedom". Each day John will perform face paced, hardcore, high energy aerobatics in the Staudacher S300-D that include such maneuvers as seven snap rolls on a forty-five down line with multiple linked rolls in the opposite direction. The Air Force Thunderbirds 2009 schedule takes the F-16 Fighting Falcon team to the Far East and plenty of air shows across the U.S. But the season starts early with a Feb. 1 appearance over the Super Bowl in Tampa, Fla. The full air show debuts March 21 at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., and will keep the team of pilots and maintainers on the road until the final takeoff at the Thunderbirds' home, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., on Nov. 15.

Labor Day Weekend Family Event Readies for Takeoff
LAS VEGAS (DEC. 9, 2008) - Cleveland has been selected to host the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds as headliners of the 2009 Cleveland National Air Show presented by Discount Drug Mart on Labor Day Weekend (September 5, 6 & 7) at Burke Lakefront Airport. The U.S. Department of Defense announced the complete 2009 Thunderbird schedule today at the annual International Council of Air Shows convention in Las Vegas .
The six select Thunderbird pilots will put their distinct red, white and blue F-16 Falcon jet fighters through a choreographed hour-long performance each day at speeds up to 500 mph and as close as three feet from each other. The Thunderbirds are the U.S. Air Force "Ambassadors in Blue" and represent the United States at approximately thirty-five sites located both home and abroad each year. <More...>

"Stadium" Temporary Flight Restrictions (tfr'S) and the air show
The Air Show will continue to operate concurrent with events that occur at Cleveland Brown's Stadium or Jacob's Field during the same time the Air Show is held. Occasionally the Air Show may have to make minor adjustments to the time civilian acts perform.
