U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Jet Demonstration Team

New Aerial Demonstration!

Supported by Parker Hannifin

Cleveland will host the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds as headliners of the 2021 Cleveland National Air Show presented by Discount Drug Mart.

For the first time in 38 years, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds have altered their aerial demonstration and even consulted with Disney executives.  Each show day, the six select Thunderbird demonstration pilots will put their distinct red, white and blue F-16 Falcon jet fighters through a choreographed 50 minute performance at speeds up to 500 mph and as close as three feet from each other. The enhanced demonstration will include new music, narration and maneuvers such as the Low Bomb Burst with Hit.

The Thunderbirds are the U.S. Air Force “Ambassadors in Blue” and composed of twelve officers (including six demonstration pilots), two civilians and 120 enlisted personnel performing more than 30 Air Force specialties. The Thunderbirds represent the United States at approximately thirty sites each year. To view the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds home page click here
