Air Show fans will witness the first Cleveland demonstration of a Marine CH-53E Super Stallion.
The Super Stallion is a heavy-lift helicopter used around the world. The helicopter is used for the transportation of heavy equipment and supplies for amphibious missions. The Super Stallion is capable of lifting 16 tons at sea level and transporting the load 50 nautical miles before returning to base. A typical payload could include a 26,000-pound Light Armored Vehicle. It can also retrieve downed aircraft including another CH-53E.
