Star-studded Air Power Take To Cleveland Skies
Air Show Announces Non-Military Performers
Five air show stars, including Sean D. Tucker and Sky Soldiers Cobra Helicopter Demonstration Team, will appear at the 2012 Cleveland National Air Show. An Epic Story of the Tuskegee Airmen
The latest epic from producer George Lucas will arrive in theatres on January 20 th . The World War II action adventure film is a fictional tale inspired by the true story of America's first African American Fighter Squad. The film's title comes for the distinctive red painted tails on their planes. “I've been wanting to do ‘Red Tails' for 20 years, and we've finally got the means to showcase the skill of the Tuskegee pilots,” Lucas said. “We're working on techniques which will give us the first true look at the aerial dogfighting of the era. Advance pilots land Wednesday to prep for Labor Day Weekend show
Cleveland has been selected by the Department of Defense to host the U.S. Navy Blue Angels as headliners of the 2012 Cleveland National Air Show presented by Discount Drug Mart on Labor Day Weekend (September 1, 2 & 3) at Burke Lakefront Airport. Two members of the elite flying squadron will make an advance visit to meet with Air Show officials and supporting organizations. More

The Cleveland National Air Show took home top honors at the recent International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) convention in Las Vegas. Cleveland was named the 2011 Show Site of Year by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and placed 1st for the Best Overall Air Show Marketing Plan in 2011.
The ICAS Convention is the single largest gathering of air show professionals in the world and the awards given at the convention represent the most prestigious in the air show industry. More

"Stadium" Temporary Flight Restrictions (tfr'S) and the air show
The Air Show will continue to operate concurrent with events that occur at Cleveland Brown's Stadium or Jacob's Field during the same time the Air Show is held. Occasionally the Air Show may have to make minor adjustments to the time civilian acts perform.
