MARJORIE ROSENBAUM PLAZA
Air Racing Pedestals :: Air Show Legend Plaques :: Plaza Wall
The Cleveland National Air Show Charitable Foundation's inaugural project was Marjorie Rosenbaum Plaza at Burke Lakefront Airport; a dramatic tribute to Cleveland's prominence in exhibition flying as it hosted the "Golden Age of Aviation" during the National Air Races from 1929 - 1949 and its current role as host of one of the country's oldest and best annual air shows.
Many legendary pilots and airplanes are honored on plagues in Marjorie Rosenbaum Plaza for their historic performances at the National Air Races in Cleveland. Our aviation history has included some of the greatest exhibition flying in the world. The Air Races included appearances by such legendary aviators as Amelia Earhart, Charles Lindbergh, Jimmy Doolittle, and Roscoe Turner.
The Marjorie Rosenbaum Plaza is presented as a gift to the citizens of Cleveland
from the Cleveland National Air Show Charitable Foundation.
We extend our thanks to the
Marjorie and Jacob Rosenbaum family
for their generous support of this project.
