DISABLED INFORMATION

Parking:

You must have a handicapped plate or sticker in the car and arrive early enough to park on-site. After paying admission (as you enter the facility) make sure the parkers flagging your car are aware of your handicap status. They will direct you to the Handicapped Parking lot on the west end of the parking area. The lot is closest to a hard surface and almost directly behind the east end of the box seats. (It is not a paved area and shuttle service is not available.)

Parking on-site is $10. The Cleveland National Air Show does not control any of the lots (including the paved lot at Burke Lakefront Airport) in downtown those are controled by various parking lot owners. The Cleveland National Air Show parking lots are temporary lots located on the grassy areas accessible from Burke Lakefront Airport's Gates 11 and 12.

Environment:

The handicapped parking area is NOT on hard surface; however it is near hard surface. A large portion of the Air Show Spectator Area is on hard surface but the Spectator Area does feature large areas of grassy area. Since the Air Show takes place in the air, there is no specific "handicapped seating."

The site IS accessible, it is flat with ample amounts of hard surface. However, the Air Show does occupy a large amount of real estate and patrons should be prepared to traverse a significant distance in the process of getting into, out of and through the Air Show. Shuttle service is NOT available.

Bathrooms:

Handicapped toilets are available and are typically found at the ends of large "banks" of port-o-lets.

Equipment:

The Cleveland National Air Show DOES NOT have scooters or wheelchairs available for rent.

Shuttles:

We do not have shuttle service on the Air Show grounds specific to the handicapped or otherwise.

Hearing Impaired:

The Air Show is not suitable for signing. A significant amount of the information used during the narration is available on this website and in the Souvenir Program.

Sight Impaired:

Seeing eye dogs ARE permitted at the Air Show.
